    CLP is currently hiring for a Safety Manager in the Dodge Center, Minnesota.

    This is a middle to senior range position in the Minnesota area. A safety Manager implements and manages safety programs and procedures that will reduce injuries and their associated costs, as well as meet all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. This position will support 29 Service Center locations including NY, IL, MN, CT, OH, IN, PA, KS, WI, MD, LA, NC, TX, FL, GA, CO, CA, NV, AZ, UT, and WA. This position does involve approximately 50 percent travel.

    Job Description

    ·            Conduct safety audits of facilities to pinpoint unsafe working conditions and practices and develop sound recommendations for corrections

    ·            Investigate injury reports and follow-up to ensure corrective action is taken

    ·            Maintain all required documentation for Oshkosh Corporation’s DOT program

    ·            Coordinate industrial hygiene testing and implement corrective action, if required

    ·            Oversee safety-related training that is required to remain in compliance with all applicable regulation

    ·            Update management on the status of Oshkosh’s safety program through monthly and quarterly reports

    ·            Develop and lead the Company’s ergonomics program

    ·            Coordinate the services of insurance carriers and outside consulting personnel

    ·            Organize, plan, and steer the Safety Representative Program to ensure that Oshkosh employees are provided with a safe workplace

    ·            Manage worker’s compensation claims and oversee claims management

    ·            Maintain an active role on our Safety Implementation Team

    ·            Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, etc., on the design and construction of new equipment, facilities, and processes to ensure safe design

    ·            Develop and recommend general accident prevention programs to include specific protective procedures and devices

    Job Requirements

    ·            Bachelor’s Degree

    ·            7-plus years experience in a manufacturing environment

    Ideal Candidates

    ·            Knowledgeable with OSHA and DOT regulations

    ·            Bachelor’s Degree in Safety related field

    ·            Possess excellent communication and organizational skills

    ·            7-plus years experience in a manufacturing environment
