GEOTEMPS, INC. is currently looking for a WAREHOUSE TECHNICIAN for our valued client in Morenci, Arizona. This individual must have a commitment to teamwork, safety and following policy and protocol. This opportunity is best suited for an individual who is comfortable working in a mining / industrial setting and has a flexible schedule.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Under general supervision, the Warehouse Technician performs a variety of warehouse duties involving the receiving, unloading, inventory, storing, movement, and distribution of goods and materials.

  • Operate a variety of heavy equipment
  • Forklifts (up to 36,000 lbs)
  • 966 Loaders
  • Boom trucks
  • Pick-up trucks with trailers
  • Pallet jacks
  • Carts
  • Remain current with all safety standards and protocol
  • Perform other duties as requested and required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • One (1) year warehouse experience, preferably in mining or similar industrial environment, including one (1) year consistent operation of a variety of heavy equipment within a warehouse environment (e.g., loaders, forklifts, applicable warehouse equipment)
  • Detailed understanding warehouse inventory control systems, purchase orders and accounts payable processes and methods.
  • Solid computer skills with proficiency in email, and an understanding of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Firm understanding use of automated warehouse management systems (e.g. SAP, Barcoding Systems or related software)
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills; displays a professional can-do attitude
  • Reliable transportation to and from work site
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to maintain regular and reliable attendance as an essential job function
  • Able to develop and maintain awareness of and identify occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Able to develop and maintain positive community and working relationships
  • Able to pass reference checking, background checking, MVR checking and drug screening

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in a mine or manufacturing plant which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles. Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
